Looking at a 48x48 as a 6.5x6.5 is a challenge. Thank you for making the effort! I have the advantage of seeing the actual painting. From across the room, it has the classic stability and strength of a horizontal/vertical composition. It carries a space easily. But up close, this is popping with life and fun and movement. The colors shift in subtle increments from blue to brown. with delicate explosions of yellows and reds. Charles Movalli calls this a two for one painting - one painting from a distance and another up close. |
