When a painting aquires its name often depends on how many people see the work in progress. One of David's sons has come up with "Par 4 Pachyderm" and "Hawian Hangover". Needless to say, the word 'hangover' spurred major changes to that particular work. When family is asked to provide input/critique along the way, family rarely makes an effort at delicacy. One work in progress was dubbed by David's wife "Burning in Hell While Wearing Plaid". That name, fortunately, no longer applies. This particular painting always had a festive nature with a little hot and smoky on the side, therefore, "After Midnight". |
